About Us

Steps of Hope is an Education Center for children ages 3-14 located in Santa María de Jesús, Guatemala. We believe that education is the way to change the course of a child’s life. Education is a process, and the results are not immediate. The more basic skills the child has to continue learning and growing, as well as knowledge about the world outside of their community and the Lord, the more opportunities they have to succeed and to have the life they dream of.

Programs

The Tutoring Progam

Tutoring Program.jpg

The tutoring program is for our students who have not been able to attend school due to lack of financial resources. The children attend classes a few times each week at the Steps of Hope Resource Center to learn basic math and reading skills. Students enjoy snack time and recess where they play and interact with their classmates.

The Meal Program

We provide a hearty meal to our students so that they do not need to study hungry.
